I tried Canesten oral pills, pessary and cream. But my thrush won't go away.

I went to see a doctor and got tested,But the doctor told me nothing wrong with me.I think the reason she couldn't find thrush is I was on a Canesten pill??(I had thursh before and I know when I'm having a thrush.)

Should I take pills regulary??Is there any reccomanded course??

Thanks.

Never heard of canesten. By thrush I am assuming you mean a yeast infection. The common treatment for it is Flagyl.

You shouldn't be taking pills regularly, but you should be concerned if you're getting it flaring up month after month.

If you are sexually active ensure your partner is treated too as the infection can spread to him and then return to you. Also if you are on any other medication (antibiotics is one example) then ask your doctor about this too as many medications have thrush as a side effect.

Start eating live yogurt or taking those bio supplements - that'll help (lactobacillus acidophilus I think) . Also, get a tampon and dip it in the live yogurt then stick it in. It'll help. And lay off yeasty products for a while - bread, beer and the like.

I would go to a different doctor too.
Just a small tip, when you bathe or shower use Johnson's baby products. It really does help.
Highly perfumed products can make it worse.
Hope that helps.

Thrush can also be agravated by foods you eat. Do a web search on what to avoid, not just what to eat.
