Everyone needs to be doing something to occupy their minds - but work comes in many forms. College studies, volunteer work, childcare and housework, writing, drawing, painting, etc. all qualify as work - even if they come with no pay. The rich often chair committees or boards of companies, or volunteer their money or services to charitable orginazations. Many people's work consists of devoting their time to a particular cause - there is usually no pay for this - but there can be rewards.

Work can be defined many different ways, and depending on the definition, it is more or less important.
Work, under the definition of a Job one is being payed to do, is necessary to supply oneself with the essentials, like food and housing.
Under the definition of 'Hard Work', or 'Labour', work is less necessary for the individual, but more for the community, like building homes, or schools, or what have you.
When considered scientifically, as a force being exerted on an object, work is required to make the very earth function.

If you wanted to take a trip somewhere. You would...
1. have to make sure you had some money.
2. make sure the car had gas
3. ensure that the flight was booked.
4. brought all the clothes you wanted.
5. make sure things are taken care of while you were gone.
6....

it can go on.

Morale of the story is that anything you do requires work. Some work is different than other kind of work but its all work.

Comes in different shapes and forms.

This is the dumbest question that I have ever come across. Seriously. I mean, if you want to ask a question so badly next time, ask someone to make something up for you.
