You don't need an attorney. Matter of fact, they will help you by telling you what steps need to be taken to do it right. There are some filing fees, but they are a fraction of what an attorney will charge. Good Luck

No. You can do it yourself if the other agrees. You can go through arbitration too and work it out if there are issues. Or if you can afford it an attorney. I would opt for the arbitration.

i represented myself for my divorce. you dont need an attorney. you can probably find the forms you need on line or in a store like staples or office depot.
