I am disappointed to see someone in this day and age attacking people just because they happen to live in the 'suburbs' as 'racists.'
You need to meet different people, hear new things and learn that not everyone can be like you. You may not be the best like you seem to think. Have you ever spoken with anyone who is maybe a little different form yourself to understand them?
Learn about people, why don't you?

I don't know about suburbs -- but racism flourishes because it is an easy way to "identify" one's self. It immediately (to the racist's mind) puts you in a group of which he/whe would like to belong - whether for popularity or simply to justify hating somebody else.

Well mostly because new jersey sucks. I guess people just are misrable cause it sucks so much and have to blame certain peoples. NY yeaaa

Eh, small towns often breed small minds.People feel stuck mentally.The lack of stimulation and general provincial mentality make it nearly impossible for them to move beyond the daily grind of their miserable little lives.Oh yeah, and like someone ahead of me said, ignorance...
