It's almost impossible for anyone to answer this question ...only you know yourself...we can only offer some advice. If you feel you can forgive him than perhaps you have a chance together. I was in this situation...I WAS able to forgive ...I wasn't able to forget. I left him because the trust was gone for me.

It is tough to forgive and FORGET.. I do not think one ever really forgets.. But it is possible, with a lot of work, if you have made the choice to stay and work it out then so be it, do not look back and wonder just move forward, however if it is too hard then you need to leave the marriage and be done with it, All wounds take time to heal and this too shall pass with TIME. Try too keep your lines of communication open and continue to share with him how you are feeling. Did he get caught, or did he tell you?

Go to marraige counseling so you learn to get over this and move on. Sometimes forgiving is not enough, specially when you tried to resolve the situation in theheat of the moment and now that yu have time to reflect you go... Hey! That was foul!

If you want to reconect and work on your trust issues he needs to learn to validate your emotions and accept responsability for what he has done to you. If he acnowledges the pain that he has caused then it will be easier for you to get through the rought patch.

A pastor, rabbi or therapist would be a lot of help. If he really wants to make things work then go together.

Good luck

Do you have kids? Then make it work- try a Catholic Marriage Encounter Weekend for people on the verge of divorce. It will force you both to figure out why this happend and by the end of the weekend you will know if you will make it through or not. If you don't have kids then thank goodness you found out now! Get this thing annulled and tell him to go before he lies and abuses you again!

I can only say what my experience was, my husband was sorry he got caught, not that he did go out. I did all I could for 33 yrs with forgiveness, loving and caring. I only lived to regret that I didn't leave him many years sooner! Now I feel old, tired and worn out.

Give it time. If he stops cheating forgive him.Men are under a lot of pressure sexually. We have to try very hard not to cheat. It can happen to the best of us. it does not mean that he does not love you. It is just strong temptation
