I've never went into labor on my own, I was induced both times. But I was with my cousin when she went into labor, and she felt the same way you're describing. Congratulations mommy!

Not neccesarily do you feel a certain way before labor. If your in a hot environment...like I am right now...you could be dehydrated. Your vunerable to being dehydrated when pregnant simply because you have another life inside you to sustain life for. Drink water or gatorade ect and eat. If it continues...go see the doctor or ER. Obviously if it is labor...the contractions are there and you will know it is time. Stay hydrated, and rested before labor. Good luck with your labor

My first pregnancy I couldn't sleep for two weeks before. Every time I'd lay down my legs would cramp so I'd get up and walk until my back would start hurting then I'd lay back down until my legs hurt again.
With my second I was so sick for the last week or two that I quit taking my iron pills and vitamins. They would make me so sick I couldn't get out of bed. But I was still sick to my stomach even after I quit taking the pills. You could be getting close. Congrats.

I actually felt pretty good before labor! I was up cleaning and doing different things around the house. It was the first time that I was actually full of energy!! Everyone is not the same, just take it easy and eat crackers for the sickness and maybe some ginger ale! Hope you fell better and have a quick delivery!!!!

my 2nd pregancy (first pregnancy was induced) i did not even realize i was in labor since i had been having braxton hicks contractions since 12 weeks. i was pregnant with twins and was 35 weeks along. i was out shopping that day buying a playpen at baby depot. nobody was around to help me get it off the top shelf so i had to do it myself. the box came crashing down and hit me in the shin thank god, not my stomach. it hurt so bad i almost passed out from the pain.

so i went home and the contractions continued but i thought nothing of it since they were 30 min apart and like i said they had been going on for months. they seemed to be getting "harder", but i still paid them no mind since i felt fine and was full of energy. it just so happens my ob office calls to change my checkup appt. so i'm like well while i have you on the phone, i'm having lots of contractions today. they told me to come in to be checked (because i was pregnant with twins i was considered high risk). it turned out i was already 3 cm dilated and had been in the early stages of labor all day and didnt even know it!

so to answer your question, no i felt great had lots of energy, shopped, cleaned my house, and did not feel run down at all. if your unsure, please call your ob! how many weeks are you by the way?

I started to feel really physically uncomfortable in any position I was in and (sorry, not trying to be gross - just honest), I started feeling like I had to go to the bathroom (NOT #1, if you get my drift) but I couldn't. After that feeling of having to go to the bathroom and nothing would happen started coming in regular intervals, I realized those were contractions.

I think to be on the safe side you should call your doctor or speak to a nurse, run it by them and see what they think. Good luck! :-)

I actually got a huge energy boost. I had my whole house upstairs and downstairs cleaned before I went to the hospital. I didnt feel crummy until they induced me and gave me meds to speed up the contractions and to speed up the process of dilating.

My best way to describe labor- You are very tired the day of all of sudden you want to sleep and you can't control it. When you start to get labor, labor pains you feel like you have diarreha cramps. That is the best way to describe it for someone to understand, then they get worse. The pains are so much like that.
Get your rest, you will need it and you will wish you had it once that little one comes along.

When's your due date? That's exactly how I felt just before I went into labor with my first. Got your bag packed?

They day before it was like bad period pains- i knew i was near- the next night it was the same but started coming on and off a little. It gradually becomes noticable contractions that happen every few mins.
No i ddint feel cruny at all -full of energy etc. You will have a energy boost.
