All mammals have nipples. Mammals have mammalian glands capable of producing milk. Yes, even men can produce milk but they would need to take hormones to help stimulate the production. I recall watching a film in college showing a man nursing a baby. He had enlarged breasts because of the milk production.

This is just a guess, but it may be that in the development of a fetus, the body is formed to a certain degree before sex differences develop, and the genetic instructions are the same for both male and female up to that point.
It also might be in case they are gay and want to take hormones and grow breasts so they can be the woman.
Or, it might be so you'd think about it and wonder.

Well first, when you are a fetus in the womb, you don't have any kind of 'gender' so when you are growing, you have to grow in a general sense. That means that you grow nipples whether you turn into a boy or a girl.
Besides, they would look kind of funny without them, now wouldn't they? lol

longer answer: all fetuses start their development as females. at a later point secreted hormones activate the development of male characteristics. So tissue that becomes one sex organ in a female develops into a different sex organ in a male. While male nipples don't express milk, they are also erogenous. Enjoy them.

because all fetuses start out the same, neither boy or girl. so before the sex is determined, general features start to develop, and one of those is nipples.
