I asked a question, and although I got called a lot of names, and had people not read the details and make erroneous assumptions about me, I didn't get one person to admit that they would rather have women die from illegal abortions, than to keep abortion safe and legal. Why is that hard to admit?

wmcritter, the other thing that changes is that the child can exist on it's own, breathe, etc...the difference is that once it is born, a woman can give it up. How about, next time I get pregnant, I just hand it to you to grow?

yeah, stiff, rape doesn't happen to a majority of women, so who cares about the minority? Mob Rules!

Since there is no need for a woman to have an unwanted pregnancy in this day and age I would rather have women die in backroom abortion alleys than from safe and legal abortions. Are you happy now? And please, don't mention the .04% of women who are impregnated by rapists... letting .04% rule the roost just isn't feasible.
Oh, and JSYK, I definitely value a "zygote" (aka: child) over an irresponsible and idiotic woman any day.

Why have a women risk a life with AIDS instead of using a condom? Why have a women risk her chance of pregnancy so that she will need an abortion instead of using birth control. Why have a women risk her chance of pregnancy instead of using Plan B? She had a lot of chances to not get pregnant. Rape victims are a bit of a different story because they didn't have a choice but the hear beat starts at 6 weeks. No abortions should be preformed from that point. That give a women 2 weeks from finding out she is pregnant to terminate it. After that she has been irresponsible too many times. Going out and getting an illegal abortion would be playing with her own life. That is her fault.

Why is it hard for you to call a human a human? Why do you denigrate a human and call them a zygote? A human is human at conception, DNA proves that without a doubt. So why is it ok for a woman to kill her child (it may be a woman too) based solely on it's age? If you can kill a child at 3 weeks, why not 9 weeks, or 40 weeks, or 2 years, or 12 years? Your DNA does not change at all in that time, you are still human, the only thing that changes is your age.
Nobody wants women to die in illegal abortions. However, that is the risk you take when you commit a crime. I don't want somebody driving 150mph to die, but driving that speed is not safe and they might crash and die. That's the risk you chose to take, why blame me, or say I'm happy about the consequences?

More like the pro-aborts value a woman's convenience over the life of an unborn child. Not a fair trade-off, is it?
Legalizing abortion didn't make it safe. Furthermore, before Roe, 90% of abortions were done in a doctor's office, according to Planned Parenthood's own data. And it's not the government's fault if a woman dies trying to kill her child--that's like a burglar getting shot while robbing a house! If women dying from illegal abortion was so rampant (which it wasn't--only like 39 died in 1972), you'd think other women would try not to put themselves in that position in the first place--right!?
Ever read Animal Farm? The pigs claimed that some animals are MORE equal than others. That's what I'm seeing here.
Women and their unborn children are equal in worth. Pro-aborts try to say that women are more equal than their own children.

The statistics show that dying from illegal abortion was a rare occurrance, almost as rare as dying from a legal abortion is.
The myth that women were dying left and right is just that - a myth.
As for value - we value life over inconvenience. Most terminated pregnancies are eminently preventable and only for the convenience of the woman. The time for 'choice' was before you spread your legs, not after you got pregnant.
Why is convenience of more value than a human life?

First I never called you any names. I don't agree with abortion but you made your choice and I have nothing to do with that. Second I don't want anyone to die in an illegal abortion and I value all human life. The way you put this it sounds like there are two options only I think there are many more options.

It's hard to admit because it's not true, at least in my case. I'm just as opposed to zygotes killing women as I am to women killing zygotes.
If a woman is pregnant and feels she has to go through unsafe procedures to get an abortion, any potential harm she incurs is not my fault. She decided to take all the risks, not me. She doesn't get a pass to murder simply because her act of murder is "safer" when its legal.

It's the Duty To Deliver Fringe (known by the euphemism, "right to life"), except they value the potential-living over the actual living.
Against abortion? Don't have one.
