plastic surgery by far, most of it is not paid for by insurance and there is a high demand in today's society, It is a mostly "cash" business, people pay up front and you will almost always get paid, also you do not really have to be on call, but watch out for lawsuits.

Another high paying medical career is orthopedic surgery, they make pretty good money too

As far as I know hand surgeons make beau coup bucks their bills can be upward of 100,000 for a single surgery! But remember all the big paying careers take big time work! Years of being a poor student, years of working your butt off, years of never being home and seeing your family. Doctors go through spouses like crazy because they always think the money will be nice but don't realize how little attention and family time they'll have with the doctor. My husband is only a P.A. but it took 2 1/2 years of training after an undergraduate degree. We're talking about to school at 7:00 a.m. and home at 11:00p.m. (He did his studying at the library since we had a child) With a lunch and dinner break. No summers off or anything. Then work life includes to work by 7:00 and home around 5:30 and that is a good day. Usually there are a couple of longer days in there. Keep in mind that the doctors get there before him and leave after him! There is a reason they get paid that much and often die early.

Plastic surgeons probably make the most because they usually do elective procedures and can charge whatever someone is willing to pay. That's after 8 years of college and 4 years of internship/residency though.
Pharmacists make 100k right out of college and they get their doctorate in only 6 years.

Consider physical therapist or respiratory therapist. Both pay really well and don't take as much schooling as the others you listed. There is also radiology tech and you might not like the idea of being a nurse but a surgical technician is a short stint and can make big bucks.

Transplant surgery. These guys can bring in anywhere from $25,000- $50,000 per operation. The only problem is that these guys spent nearly all their lives in school, or training facilities to hone their skills. If you want the big bucks, this is it.
