I know people will think this is pathetic, but when i saw "SAW" i cacked myself. I couldn't sleep normally for ages after. Yet no other scary films have ever bothered me. Not even the Exorcist.

The Shining and Exorcist are good classics, and they were scary as heck when first released, but they're not scary nowadays. They were more disturbing to me.

Seen lots, and i am NOT a weirdo... but, if you do NOT know the background or storyline, watch the Blair Witch Project.. those who diss it probably knew the storyline to begin with, go with it...
oh yes, give the `Hitcher` a go too.i

japanese movies usually scare me -- anything with scary white lady who is out to kill you.
nothing beats The Grudge and The Ring. (well, with "the ring" i've seen it over and over -- it's not as scary anymore)
