I don't think he coached Brazil really well, so why should he be hired to coach South Africa if he did not coach the #1 team really well?

It isn't official yet, he is coming to S.A next week to sign his contract, so until then, no he is not the coach. I think at this moment Bafana Bafana need help, no matter where it comes from. They do not want to qualify for 2010 merely by being the host country. Let us not judge the situation until we see the outcome of Parreira's coaching SPECIFICALLY to the South African team.
