White chocolate is an ivory-white confection based on cocoa butter without the cocoa solids. It also includes milk solids, sugar, lecithin, and flavorings (usually including vanilla). Cocoa butter is the ingredient used in other chocolates so that they remain solid at room temperature yet melt easily in the mouth. Thus, white chocolate has a texture like that of chocolate but does not have the same taste. Some, however, find the taste similar to milk chocolate.

White chocolate is not considered real chocolate, because although it has cocoa butter (at least 32% to be considered of good quality), it does not have chocolate liquor. White chocolate is made from cocoa butter, milk, sugar and vanilla.

White Chocolate and Dark chocolate are almost identical. the difference is that when they make chocolate, they add the cocoa flavor, which is colorless to the mix of sugars and starches. When the mixture is down they add they coloring and flavoring of the chocolate they are producing. Thereofre white chocolate has a white color, and different mixed flavors and ingredients, and dark chocolate is made differently.

It's not. It's made with cocoa butter. Cocoa butter is taken out of the same bean as chocolate.

Officially white chocolate cannot be called "chocolate" because it does not contain chocolate liquor. Good white chocolate contains cocoa butter, sugar, milk solids, vanilla, and lecithin

NO it's not a true chocolate because it contains no chocolate liquor. White chocolate is typically made of sugar, cocoa butter, milk solids, lecithin and vanilla.

I don't think that it is actual chocolate if it has no cocoa. But I love it anyway.

White chocolate is actually coco butter. The chocolate you know and love includes the coco solids and is actually quite bitter until you add sugar (and perhaps milk) to the mix.
