Dawn of the Dead is brilliant ( both the original and the remake), I also like Nightmare on Elm street and Jeepers Creepers, Signs is excellent , also try comedy/ horror such as the scary movie films or Shaun of the Dead (which is the funniest film ever).

We Lets see...
Hostel - great torture film
The Hills have Eyes - very intense gore film
High Tension - one of the best foreign horror films, a lot of blood
Saw I,II - honsetly everyone has heard of these.
The Others - No blood,guts gore, but very frightening and tense scenes.
Dawn of the Dead - One of the best zombies movie, they can run!
Land of the Dead Unrated - Very Very Gory and a lot of human eating fleshes
Scream 1, 2, 3 - The best slasher horror films, hands down
2001 Maniacs - Low budget movie, but very horrific
