well the best, I can say it's firefox.
comparing the popular browsers Opera, IE and Firefox,
if compared, Opera 9.0 , Firefox 2.0 beta, IE 7 beta3
Opera is good in perfomance, where IE7 is better, but when considered the browsing speed, IE sucks. FF n opera is well ahead. here's some facts,

First of all Internet Explorer 7 is in the Beta Developement stage, which means there are still quite a few serious security bugs, and a lot of minor bugs that will hinder your Experiance of IE 7, but once the final IE7 is released most of these bugs will be worked out.
But I still think Mozilla Firefox is Better for now at least.

Safari, but it is for mac people, it is a great browser. I don't like Internet Explorer or Netscape, and I'll use Firefox from time to time.

Mozilla Firefox is the best. Internet Explorer is the worst. Just my opinion. There also is; Opera, and Netscape.

Firefox is the best. One thing you could do is ask a question about how to modify it to make firefox more to your liking.
