Yes, they open their eyes at 10 days. You *can* hold it at a week, but I would only hold it for a minute or two once a day. It isn't old enough to be out to play, and since their mothers only nurse once a day, you wouldn't want it to miss a meal.
If the mother is used to you, she won't reject or eat the babies just because you touch them. I've been a rabbit breeder for 20 years, and I check all of my babies every day from the day they are born to make sure they're being taken care of. I have NEVER had a doe stop caring for them because of that. If she ignored them or ate them, it was right after birth, not a week later.
That said, I only check them once a day right after feeding Mom, and don't play with them beyond that until they are jumping out of the box on their own, or about 2 weeks. They're babies, not toys.

Baby rabbits eyes should open by ten days but that's not set in stone as it can be a few days either way. I would not pick the baby up till at least that time and you know the Mother is happy with the situation. They will kill their young if they are not happy with the babies being tampered with. So tread carefully Each day they grow leaps and bounds. Come to 6weeks and Mum will of had enough

yes the eyes open at 10 days but sometimes take abit longer,my rabbits eyes didnt open till 14 days, you can hold the babies but only near the nest and if the mother is interested in what you are doing let her sniff the baby in your hands if she trusts you she will just let you get on with it if she doesnt like you doing it she will jump in the nest to protect the others, but she shouldnt have a problem i used to hold mine and the mother never ate them or rejected them, rabbits mostly eat young when they are ill, hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure you can hold it anytime, and yes their eyes open at about 10 days, so in about another week you'll see it's eyes open.
awww, good luck with your baby bunny!!!

Ussually at 10, but there are a few variables.
Dont touch your kittens till the doe brings them out. She is not afraid to eat her young if she thinks they are threatened. You need to be patient.

you must leave the baby UNTOUCHED and with his/her mother until he/she not only opens up her/his eyes, but until eating solid food on its own...his/her own, whatEV!
