I'm a straight guy(23), but I just feel like I'd look better if I did some of these things, but I just feel embaressed asking people since I don't know how they'll react, or they'll think I'm weird. In a way, I kind of envy girls since they can do these things without any problem, but is it weird or vain to want to do this, or just trying to take care of yourself?

GO FOR IT !! I have been trying to get my son and husband to go get pedicures but they refuse. Believe me, an average guy doesnt do othe nice pampering things but big high roller men do ! When I bought my lexus, the dealer had prettier hands than me ! you could tell he got manicures...no dried up hands, no dead cuticle - nothing. It was at that time I decided I have to invest in looking good and that goes for males and females. Good luck and believe me you will love it. Facials are the best and will keep you looking young forever - pedicures feel great and manicures - are necessary. Good luck and Im so happy you are taking a stand !!

Well... it does sound weird, not because you're gay or straight but most girls don't like men who worry too much about their image or spend more time than they do getting ready to go out!
I even hate women wasting so much time at a beauty salon, if you feel good in the inside it will reflect on the outside. But, this is the era of metro sexual men, so... why not? Do it if it will make you feel better and don't pay so much attention to what other people say or think.

It all depends on where you see yourself in society. If you don't mind being labeled a "metro-sexual," then go ahead. Just remember that means that you're going to attract girls who think you'll go to chick flicks with them and cry at the sad parts.

They'll expect you to do all the "man work," yet help with the "woman's work" as well. These liberated women who want their man to wash dishes and mop the floor never seem compelled to help their husband fix the car or lift something heavy. They may even expect you to sit down to pee - honestly. I know women like this.

If that life is ok with you, go ahead and get your facial. There's nothing wrong if that's the way you want to live. Just don't expect to be taken seriously if you ever try to assert your manly prerogative.

That is not weird at all. Good for you....Men should follow your example and pay more attention to how you look and your skin feels. My husband, when we first started, Lord, was it hard for me... watching him wash his face with only soap.... he works in the sun most of the times and his skin was so rough....a man usually is rough bt it was at an extreme... i started little by little giving him a facial once a week to exfoliate his skin.... then he realized the difference and started little by little... I love my husband and I care for him .... this is why he beats me sometimes with a good skin care regimen..... and beleive me, hi is not gay.... and we go to the salon and he does not feel embarrassed.... don't pay attention to others, when you get older you will see everybody doubting your age !!!! But if you feel weird going somewhere, just buy good botanical products and do it at your home.... try the ones we use: http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com under shop online, or even write so they could sen you a free sample of their line, but don't let anybody change your mind about caring for yourself.....

Honestly, Pantene has a deep conditioning treatment that works pretty well and is reasonably priced.

It is not weird at all, particularly if your hair is long or if you have a lot of it. The stylist probably won't care or think you are weird, there are a LOT of men who like to take care of themselves who are straight.

Its vain, thats for sure, and guys will heckle you if they find out that you are doing it, so, keep it to yourself, so you dont get to be the butt of jokes all around the shower room, and people start to avoid you :) LOL!!

Would "I" do it? Never! I cant see anyone playing in mud, on my face...(I remember playing mud pies and never thought of putting it on my face..sheesh!)...

I wish you well.

You are GAY.

You may still like sex with girls and all, but you have a gay heart. I have a lot of friends who are Metro/Bi/Gay. It's all good.
