Yes, all drugs are bad. My son is a recovering drug addict. Please do not do this to yourself or your family. You might think it will be just one time, but then it turns into once more and once more and before you know it you are hooked and you life will just go down the toilet. Some that take this road never come back. Before you do your first drug walk through a homeless shelter or a rehab center ( if they are lucky)

I think that for some it may be okay for recreational purposes or for the terminally ill. However with some there is a fine line between recreational use of a substance and abuse.
For some addictions is just to high a risk to take, as everyone once in a while progresses to every day, which progresses into several times a day.

Interesting question...and one that I debate with a certain friend of mine often. Here is my opinion....
All drugs are bad for you including alcohol and nicotine. Some drugs are worse than other (ie. meth, heroin, cocaine) and have a huge addiction factor that needs to be taken into consideration. Not to mention the cost financially, emotionally, physically and mentally of said drug addiction. I have no problem with people who use marijuana on a strictly RECREATIONAL basis. To me that means once every month or two at a party with friends. This does not mean, however, smoking up all day every day. (I know some people who do that) I used marijuana recreationally in my younger years. I am a parent now and have no desire to do it or have it in or around my home. But, I certainly would never condemn anyone who does it. When you are talking hard drugs and major addiction...I have zero tolerance for that.

Yes drugs are bad for our health...They give us the fake feeling of euphoria or anything that tricks us and makes us feel like a superhero or makes us go to a nirvana state
they can kill us.
I dont know why a smart person would take pills or anything to get "lost"as u say and not face the true facts.
so i believe that those who get 'lost' are cowards...
the best thing to do is to face the facts not to get lost..so its always a bad idea...
everybody says that...and ask everyone who's hooked if they want to cut it down or not...im sure that they want to...!

The world has not yet come up with a drug that has no negative side effects. Maybe if there was one, it would be worth considering doing. You can't screw with your brain and nervous system and not expect it to have lasting effects.

Some valium, xanax, etc. would be good for people afraid to fly, etc. - I guess that could be considered recreational.
Some weed for the dying, ill, and in pain should definitely be helpful. (I, too, agree that pot should be legalized for the general public - it is safer than cigarettes, alcohol, and does not cause the liver damage that some pharmaceuticals do).

I agree with Frozenfun. Pot should be legal and is not as dangerous as alcohol or other drugs. Just don't make it a daily habit because you could lose your ambition and get chubby.
