Or are they just trying to reduce the number of abortions? I'm all for spending resources on education, birth control, child care, and other alternatives to abortion. But it seems to me that people who are against abortion aren't doing those things, they are just trying to make it illegal, again. How do you feel?

I guess it's easier to ask a question back, then it is to admit that you would rather have women die from illegal abortions.

No, Mr Scorpion, it is YOU who know nothing of the subject! I'm 32 and have had an abortion. I know what I am talking about, and I remember the stories of women dying from illegal abortions. I am not afraid to admit that I used contraception for 16 years, and ONCE it didn't work. I had an abortion, and I am glad I had safe options for me and my family. I regret nothing. Now, how about you grow a set and admit that you would rather women die, thsn keep abortion safe and legal?

Yes I would like to see women dying from abortions rather than just the babies. A White healthy decent IQ female that aborts a healthy fetus should be executed. I support mandatory abortions for all non-White's. If a White woman has an unhealthy fetus or is low IQ or was raped by a non-White and in some cases even a White and in some incest cases - then abortion is OK and in fact a must.

Birth control is free in the US. All you have to do is go to Planned Parenthood. I think that people old enough to have sex (from teenagers on up) are educated to the possible results. So, people who are against abortion are doing those things.
Personally, I'm pro-choice. I can understand that some people might define it as murder. I don't. Not by a long shot. Still, Pro-lifers are not making their choice because of societal problems/issues such as you've listed. It's an emotional conviction. The don't think women should die getting them, they think they should live with the consequences of their actions. You can't argue a conviction like that. You can only outnumber them in a democracy.

You frame the question unfairly. Simply put, those against abortion value the life of the child more than they do the convenience of the parents.
Plus you are very wrong. There is a pro life outfit in Danielson CT. called "Caring Families" ( I think they have a website) and they do lots and lots of charity work for unexpected moms and dads. You know the usual, cash, cribs, etc. They don't seek the credit, just quiet christian charity. I will bet if you look a little harder in your own community you will find such people too.
That said, I don't think a person needs to qualify their political opinions with handouts. Pro-life have a right to be pro-life. Its a free country.

I think the intent is to stop people from killing what they consider to be a live human being. The debate is at what point does and embryo become a living human being. They would tell you that abortion is nothing short of murder. No one argues that the life of the mother comes first in cases where the pregnancy will harm her but the point is if you go and get pregnant then that's something you chose to do and the life you will kill when you abort the birth is committing murder and running away from the consequences of the pregnancy you chose to start when you had sex.

I think that 99% of girls that need an abortion a whores that use abortion as an easy way out of taking responsibility.
Basically, the argument you make is that the girls life is more important than a babies. That’s instinctually dangerous. For a species to survive the success of the next generation should ALWAYS be more important than the status of the current generation.

I'm against abortion, and I support a local crisis pregnancy center. It has resources for women who
a) want to keep the baby, and just needs some support, finacial and otherwise to help her out.
b) want to have the baby, and give it up for adoption, open or otherwise.
c) more information for women that want it.
They also work with a local rape and abuse center.
The best way to decrease abortions is give women better options. Abortions are painful for women, and they are risky, even in this day and age. So if they have better options, why would they want to have one?

We don't want abortions at all. Women should not die, but neither should babies. Why is no one educated about the harmful effects abortion has on women. Like: Increased risk of breast cancer, depression, risk of becoming in-fertile, bleeding, trouble bonding with men, trouble bonding with future or current children, etc. If the truth is taught, people will see that abortion hurts women.

The myth of the deaths from illegal abortions continue to this day, apparently. Why not speak about all the women who die from legal abortions? (let alone the over 30,000,000 US babies who never got to be born). Or the depression that afflicts a great number of the women who choose to butcher their baby?

No, we just want to stop people from murdering a life. We aren't forcing people to have sex. We need to educate young people better and stop allowing hollywood to force sexual content on us everywhere. I'm just a guilty but when you were 17-18 where you able to support a child? Probably not so don't have sex. If you think that you need to use birth control, condoms, oull out methods haha. Seriously though we need children to understand the importance of abstiance.

To follow your logic do we legalize LSD because people are dieing from using dirty needles in back alley drug houses. Or an even better example would be do we legalize Crack Cocaine because right now it is manufactured in back alley "labs" and sometimes these people cut the drugs with other dangerous chemicals which are causing countless deaths. Your arguments pre-supposes that women have to have abortions and I reject this idea.

To answer your question, people who are against abortion only want to save the life of the baby. I am guessing that don't really care if it kills you or anything else bad, that could happen.
