It is human nature to try to spread your genetic material as wide as possible. And the reason "good looking" women appeal to you more is because your animal brain sees their genetic material as being superior and more conducive to the survival of your offspring.
And it's not just men, women have a drive to try to produce as many different children as possible, with different genetic 'blueprints'. This ensures that if some die or are genetically inferior, then her other children will still prosper.
It's all about the reproductive drive.
