I'm confused as to why he sometimes twitches and makes a little hissing noise...could someone explain?

Hedge hogs are actually becoming domesticated animals, and if you have the correct housing for them and treat them well...it's perfectly legal to have them here in the US.

I have seen that too. The petstore person said that they could be scared or in a deep dream. I think it is because they are a little scared and sometimes hedgies just do that- its just the way they are.

Are you in the UK? Is it legal there to have a hedgehog for a pet? In the US, it's illegal to keep a "wild" creature as a household pet.

I DUNNO CUZ IN ca. HEADGEHOGS DON'T EVEN EXIST AND ARE ILLEGAL TO HAVE. BUT HE'S PROLLY JUST SCARED.
