I'm Saving money To Buy an IPOD. But before I do that, is there any other brand better than the IPOD?

I wouldn't exactly call it "better" because it's pretty much half-half. But the Creative Brand makes pretty nice mp3 players too, around the same price as Ipods. Except they have an Fm turner and voice recording feature - something that IPods do not have.

I think that partially depends on what computer you're using with it. I love my iPod, and think it's perhaps the greatest toy ever created. (Like Mac's, they are very simple to use and have a very pleasing look & feel). But I have a Mac. I have heard that they don't work quite as well with PC's. I know that Bill Gates is coming out with some sort of iPod rip-off, but in a way, all other brands of MP3 players are, at heart, iPod rip-offs...

I have a SanDisk w/ an FM tuner & some other features. The FM tuner actually comes in handy, because the gym I go to uses an FM signal to broadcast their TV's. If you didn't have an FM tuner, you wouldn't be able to listen to the TV. Plus, they're like HALF the cost of an iPod, & they're just as good, IMHO.

I haven't found a better player then an iPod....My nano is the best one, and I am so happy with it - Had it since last year...still good as when I bought it.

well you could get an mp3 player there not exactly as nice but they work. also look on ebay for an ipod you could get it cheaper there too. also i have a razor phone and it has an mp3 player on they will work too.

Look at Creative Labs. Those units play WMA (Microsoft's format) as well as MP3. They are probably more reliable too.
