what will get you in the pocket book isnt the compressor its the new refridgerant and the enviromental fees

if its just the clutch you can replace it but rebuilding the clutch is out of the question. now why isnt it engauging is another question, is the system low because it has safety switched to prevent the system from turning on, i.e. clutch engaugement. as for rebuilding the ac compressor, oh you wouldnt even want to go there, honestly

Yes it can be done. Here, south of the border, is an everyday task because labor is cheaper and parts are more expensive.
