Don't people realize how dumb it sounds when they compare homosexuals to murderers and pedophiles?

Well, they don't have any logical basis for their hatred and bigotry against LGBT people, so they try for an emotional approach.
They know that everyone, especially LGBT people, sees exploitation of children and murder as completely reprehensible. So they are trying to appeal to those strong emotions.

Of course, statistics would quick point out that more than 90% of the pedophiles and murders are straight people, with most of them being straight men. But these folks don't want to be confused with FACTS! :o)

They should know that a sin is a sin in the God's eyes. Homosexuals are not only a sin against God but it is also a sin against nature. Fear breeds fear breeds stupidity.

They're afraid of murderers and pedophiles - people that upset the flow of society and do something wrong. To them, lgbt people upset the flow of society and are wrong. To them that means equals.

murderers pedophiles = lgbt person. They all upset the flow of society and are *wrong*.

So, once they've made that leap, they make the leap that its ok to discriminate against lgbt people just like they do against murderers and pedophiles.

Most of them hide behind that big fat fairytale book and state that some giant invisible man (who is visible through all his "blessed" works), tells them that it's wrong and thus gives them all right to be stupid, mean, and nasty.

In my opinion, lgbt are people and should have the same rights everyone else in this country has - because THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG.

I wouldn't ever compare them to murderers.

I don't think people really compare them to pedophiles, either -- but both homosexuality and pedophilia are borne of sexual orientation and desire.

Homosexuals often say that their innate, natural sexual orientation attracts them to members of the same sex -- and this is why everyone should regard homosexuality as "just as normal as heterosexuality."

But pedophiles also say that their innate, natural sexual orientation attracts them to children -- but nobody ever says that this sexual behavior should be regarded as "normal."

Of course, with the former we are dealing with consenting adults, whereas with the latter we are dealing with children who can be scarred for life by sexual abuse.

Nevertheless, the issue is whether or not "it's natural to me" should automatically become a green light for societal approval of a given sexual behavior.

Bad is bad to them sadly. This is kind of like the question I asked a little while ago. Why do opponents of gay marriage say next people and animals will want to marry? I guess they think so little of gays that they have to compare them to the lowest thing. Be it animals or criminals.

There are alot of dumb people in the world. Most do not think, therefore they are stupid. People are scared of gay people for some reason. Maybe there are afraid of getting something. Who knows.... Just don't ever take it to heart when they start talking about gays....Ya know?
