whenever i feed it, it would touch the food with its nose first, back up a little then tries to bite it. As it tries to bite the food, it's always too far from the food. it wouldn't eat if i put the food right next to its mouth. it doesn't have problem finding the food, just unable to eat it. then it would just look at me :(

what can i do to help? i don't want it to die of starvation

My sister's turtle and my turtles do the same thing. Don't worry, most turtles don't like to eat infront of you. Turtles can durvive for over a month without eating, so even if he goes a couple weeks, it's perfectly normal!

Don't worry, it's fine! Hope I was help! Best of Luck!

Take it to a vet. Even if your turtle is blind it should still be able to smell the food and know where it is enough to eat it. There is something wrong if your turtle is unable to eat. Your vet can look in its mouth or examine it for other signs of illness or injury. Good luck!
