I do not want birds to roost in my trees which hang over my driveway. I was looking for a home-remedy, or spray that you can buy locally that would help me solve this problem. Don't want to shooting them, they only come out at night. On the internet I have found a 1 gallon jug of sticky stuff that you spray on the tree that cost $50.00 + shipping per tree. Would like to find something cheeper.

Get Cds like the free AOL ones you see evrywhere. hang them in your trees with string, the liht replecting scares them and they spin in the breeze.
I sometimes hot glue them back to back so both sides reflect.
If you tie one to each end of a string you can toss them into the tree.
HAve fun.It really works.

Get a cat or two from the shelter, then nail boards on the trunk of the tree so that the cats have something to quickly climb on.

Let your cats out only at night, and you will never have poop on your car again.

Pea on it. No kidding human sent keeps them away.
Fill a sprayer with urine. This sounds crazy but they use it to keep deer out of the gardens. It keeps everything out of the garden. We had goffers and moles and everything eating up the garden.
When you clean out the cat box, bury the dirty cat litter, one or two feet down. all around the outside edge of the garden.
They never went back in the garden again.
So we didn't have to trap or shoot them.
They hate dirty kitty litter.

spray water with hose into tree at dusk or just about dark, they will leave and not fly back in the dark. Do this for several nights and they are gone!

Try a plastic owl. Or rubber snakes.

Birds stay away from both natural enemies and they aren't very smart either.

go to walmart and look in their gardening section....there are inflatable owls that you can hang in the trees they keep away birds and snakes. also you can try hanging wind chimes up there, its the same as the old way of tying tin cans or aluminum pie tins in your garden to keep birds away but they sound and look nicer. good luck.....
