Growing up. After that, compassion, not making the kid "feel bad". and Relax. Remember, you are Raising the CHILD, not the mattress... Few High school or College students wet the bed. Double-make the bed, (extra set of sheets applied under and over a Water Proof Matress pad) Do NOT carry them to the rest room at night... Wake them up and walk with them to the bathroom. (They already Sleep through it, If you carry them, you are not helping them recognise when they need to wake up) you could have them HELP strip the wet sheets (remember, you love the KID, not the bed!)) Then let them go back to sleep. Resist the urge to yell or get mad, there are SO MANY reasons kids wet the bed that unless you've had a doctor tell you why, you don't know anything at all...

It is according to how old your child is. I had that problem with my son. He is sixteen now and has long since quit wetting the bed. There was a time that I was changing his sheets in the middle of the night and waking up in the morning and they were wet again. I asked his doctor and she said not to worry before he turned 6 yrs. He continued to do it so she gave him some med that is kept in the refrigerator and I would give it to him everynight. He quit wetting and after about 2 or 3 months, I quit giving it to him.He had a few accidents after that, maybe once in 3 or 4 months but not like it had been. Also, watching their drinking before bed, making sure they go before bed, and we would get him up during the night just whenever we got up.Most everyone goes at least once during the night. I think they just don't want to get up.If your child has ADHD, he has a higher tolerance for pain and won't feel it pressing on him like most people do.

YES there is a cure! Usually boys will continue to wet until about 4-5 years old but longer than that can be a dignity issue for them. There is an alarm that can be sewn into the undrepants and as soon moisture is sensed the alarm goes off waking the child up. It's called conditioning and has no long term after effects. It works well I used it on both of my boys. cost is about 50-75$.

The Hargitt House Foundation claims to have a very good success rate and money guarantee on treating bed-wetting without drugs. They have been recommended both by Ann Landers and Dear Abby in their columns. There is also a large number of positive reviews of their work from parents.
Here is their website: http://www.hargitthousefoundation.com/

Plastic wrap around the mattress, but that doesn't solve the problem with bedwetting, it just deals with it's effects.
Have them use the bathroom before bed, if you want to get them up in the middle of the night, have them go again then too.
I was a bedwetter up until about 2-3 grade, it was rather embarassing. But it was because I was afraid of the bathroom, my lord it was scary. I eventually got over it however, I don't really know how I did though.

Up through age four I was a bed wetter I admit. What I remember curing me was taking one last drink of water before going to bed and then making sure I went to the bathroom one last time before I went to bed. That definitely helped. Trust me, none of the commercial methods worked for me as a tot so try that.

don't let the child drink an hour or more before bed. make them try and go to the potty before they go to bed. if things persist and don't get any better you can call your doctor and see if there is a pill or something that may help and i know they make bigger diapers for this as well so try that, the embarrassment of having to wear a diaper may help as well. good luck

Eventually most will grow out of it...
Try plastic on the bed..
Waking them up ever 2-3 hours even if they say they don't have to go...
a plastic sheet them when liquid hits it it sends out a loud beeping noise to wake the person...
take them to a doctor...
no drinking/eating an hour before bed...
Hope this helps...
Peace

No, they will outgrow it on there own. Bedwetters are usually just very heavy sleepers and cant wake themselves up when they have to go. try pullups, making them go before bed and no drinks 2 hours before bedtime. It wont cure them but it will atleast help some.
