If it's only been a week, don't worry. If you haven't, you might consider calling and saying, "I'm making sure that you don't need any additional information." It shows them that the job is not just something your applying for but that you want to work at their company.

It means they are NOT interested. And if the way you speak is "I gave a job interview," and "does not mean I have not made it to the job," then I can see why they wouldn't hire you. You NEED to learn proper grammar. You didn't GIVE a job interview, you WENT on a job interview! Geesh!

It means you need to keep contacting them--send them a thank you card for meeting with you, and keep following up. You may have been one of the first of many they interviewed, and/or they may be giving more than one interview, so don't give up. When my husband applied at a major drug firm, he didn't get the job, but he was interviewed 19 times first

Call them,,, they may have misplaced your resume or have been to busy to call you... or, thought that someone had contacted you already!

For example: A friend of mine waited and waited to receive a packet from the company that told them he was hired, and it never came,, so he called, and the manager/boss had stuck it on her desk ,and forgot to mail it.
(he went through the whole weekend/ thinking they changed their mind,, only to call on Monday morning and find out it was a mistake)

If you really want the job,you should contact them. If they tell you that you don't have the job,ask them to tell you why you did not get it for future reference.

May just mean they haven't hired, it is OK to contact them to see what is going on. The worst they can say is they have already hired.

They are still looking at your application. Or they found someone else; not always though. You could still be in file.
