There are a couple of ways to do it, but I've never had to do so. I think one way is to boot the computer from a Linux CD such as Knoppix and retrieve some file with the password information. There are programs you can then use to decode the file. The other way I have heard of is to somehow (by the Linux CD or another user account) replace the default screensaver with the command processor. Allegedly, you can then wait for the new "screensaver" to come up. When it does, it opens the command processor and then you can type in some commands as per the instructions to get access. Both of these methods require you to be comfortable with following technical instructions, but they allegedly work. If you can't do it, and you don't know anyone who can do it for you, and you can't take it to a repair shop (I don't know if they know how to fix it either, but it's worth a try), about your only option will be to reinstall. Fortunately, you can use a bootable Linux CD (Knoppix will do) to copy all your files off the computer beforehand. Good luck!

i dont think there is any other way. Unless you reboot your computer with the window xp home/professional software, but it would also delete all the info you have in your computer

log in as the admin and then you can change your password
so at the log in screen
username-administrator
password-
leave the password blank and hit enter
that will get you in
then go to control panel users and you can change your info
