my friend has Yahooo Messanger and i have Aim can I still talk to her?

It really isn't compatible, but you can download programs like Trillian that will allow you to use both simultaneously under one program.

No. You need to download the Yahoo messenger or she needs to download AIM after creating an id on either service.
