yes, no doubt what makes you happy at one age does not at a different age...but I'm sure at 60, you are happy that you are retired or almost retired and you are happy if you have a good family, love and companionship, and are healthy...no matter what your age.. there are always things to be thankful for and ways to find happiness...

What reaching 60 does for you is make you understand and appreciate life more than ever before. The kiddies on here have all the answers. Of course they are all wrong but that sure doesn't stop them.
Reaching 60 makes you appreciate the better things in life. Relationships, love, appreciation of the difference each of us have and what we can learn from that.
This age brings with it a lot of experience and the realization there is nothing new under the sun.
What seems new and different to young people is never that much different from what has happened in the past. A different slant perhaps but nothing more.
And most of all, in looking back, you understand life goes by in a blur and when your young there is no way to understand that. So we all make the same mistakes. And one day, soon, you will all wake up and understand.
Getting old is not for sissies, but it sure beats the alternative.

I can see how a 60 year old may not be as happy about certain things a 20 year old would be happy about. But it probably isn't much different from 59 to 60. Those kind of changes don't happen because they hit a nice round number in age.

Health is an important factor. But mostly it's the simple small things that bring joy...........That youth are incapable of understanding. I'm beyond 60 and I've just acquired an adorable puppy that's been abused. I've had her only one wk, and her transformation has filled my being with an unexplainable warmth.
Age is not altogether a factor, it's what's in one's heart. And what's of inportance to one, may not be to another...regardless of age.

Of course!! What made me happy at 18 didn't do it for me at 30, and what made me happy at 35 doesn't interest me much at 48. So I agree, the things that make you happy change as you (hopefully) mature and grow. Sometimes they become simpler, sometimes they become more complicated, but they do indeed change! And I think what would make ME happy at 60, basically, is health, family, spirituality, and security, but we'll see for sure when I get there! LOL

Life makes them happy. The fact that they have made it to sixty is a blessing. I have a friend whose great-grandmother is going to turn 105 next week. Now that is history right there.

Eating prunes and pretending like life rocks because really, after that point, it doesn't. It's a big cycle of denial for another 40 years, and then... well, you can reincarnate and do it all over again.

They become happy with their achievements in life as they are at that certain age... They become happy seeing their children graduate, get good jobs, grow professionally, get married and have children too...

I think, after 60, he/she should involve in volunteer or social work to be happy.
Turning into "September Sex", he/she can't be happy...!!
I think so..!!
