One thing that drives me mead is the sticky residue left over from sercurity devices and stickers...I'm very OCD about this kind of stuff lol. But it really makes me mad because it makes the CD/DVD look bad with the sticky stuff smeared on it. Any suggestions?

WD 40 spray it and let it soak in for a few and it will slide right off and a little more will take all the resedue glue off as well it works better than goop etc and i use it all the time on all kinds of stickers.

Here is an answer you probably wouldn't expect. Tape. It is possible to remove the sticky substance by putting tape (best to use is packing tape) over the sticky substance and pulling it back off. This will remove the sticky substance in small amounts and will have to be repeated over and over to get all of it off, but it wont scratch or damage the surface like rubbing liquids on them will.

With practice you will learn what speed to pull the tape off to get the best results and you will get faster at removing the sticky substance.

Best suggestion I can make is rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. Either should work.

Rubbing alcohol on a rag should do the trick.

Buy this stuff called Goof-Off.

Don't use it on finished wood though. I learned the hard way.
