When I was younger I was forced to go to therapy. All you do is sit in a room with the psychologist and talk and talk. They may try to perscibe you pills or something ( at least thats what they tried with me). Therapy only helps if you really want it to. O yea and my advice if you tell your therapist about some illegal things you have do they might tell your parents....

Therapy isn't that bad. You just talk to a therapist about stuff, like your day, your friends, how you feel. Maybe they think you're being weird and they don't know what to do with you. But don't feel bad. Lots of kids get sent to therapists. What's interesting is how proud your parents will be when you go. It's not like it's hard or anything.

It depends on whether it is physical therapy or mental therapy. I had tendonitis and had to get physical therapy. Or, your parents may think you are sad or something or they aren't good parents and think you are the problem when they really are.

Without more specifics, I cannot be of more help. Sorry.

You talk to a psychologist/psychiatrist or other mental health professional about what is going on in your life. Evidently you must display some abnormal behavior for them to say you need therapy.

It is not just for crazy people it is for people with copeing skills that are a little hostile. You sit on folding chairs in a circle and the teacher acts as a referree and you get to tell who you hate, why you hate them and why the world sucks. Everyone gets a chance to vent something like answers.
I like answers better because no one tells me my copeing skills sucks. Sometimes we feel that no one hears us when we have problems and things seem unfair. So others hear us and there problems are so much worse that when you get through you feel like you have it pretty good. When they get through you get coffee and cookies and stuff and get to visit with these really cool guys. The girls are ok to.

A therapist will ask certain questions about specific issues which you may possibly have. They will have you describe things in depth, analyze these, and discuss probable solutions which you may take to remedy the prroblems. Basically, they're an expensive best friend who has a lot of textbook answers. :)
