If you do, have you seen the cover that all the controversy is about? The one with the close up side view of the woman breastfeeding? Have you seen that, and why are so many people disgusted by it? I've heard the words outraged, apalled, disgusted, horrified,and offended used to refrence this photo. Why do us, Americans, find something that G_d designed us for so disgusting? They see kittins nursing and dont call the press register, do they? Please help me to understand why this is supposed to be disgusting ,and not beautiful?

im subscribed to the magazine. i think breastfeeding is a beautiful thing. i just gave birth to a little girl on the 3rd of july and i exclusively breast feed. its not illegal! there are laws to protect breastfeeding mothers and i think everyone should just get over it. it is a natural thing just as any other act god has designed us to do.

I don't understand why people are so "outraged". I was just reading on another forum that a mother breastfeeding was asked to leave a restaurant because a lady at the next table couldn't keep her eyes from wandering. This is the dumbest thing I have heard of. Breastfeeding is a very natural thing and is proven to be the best thing for a newborn baby.

Well...I am planning to breastfeed my baby when she arrives (hopefully very soon!) and I do think that breastfeeding is a very wonderful and natural thing. That said...I don't necessarily think that it needs to waved around in everyones faces all the time. I don't mind the pictures they put inside the magazine but as a mother to a 3 year old and daycare provider to 4 other children...I don't think it is necessary to put a very large breast on the cover of a magazine. There are other ways to show breastfeeding in pictures that would be more appropriate. Just my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own of course! I don't think it deserves this much hype though!

I don't know what the issue is. To the mothers who are all for breastfeeding but not for the "public to see" Why not? It's normal. If you teach a child that this is not right they will grow up as ignorant as you. I have a 16 yr old boy, a 10 yr old girl, a 4 yr old boy and a baby that is breastfed. When i received the magazine it was not a big deal because I taught them not to be ignorant.

Yes I got it in the mail several weeks ago. I thought it was a beautiful picture. Anyone that sees that picture as sexual has some real issues. The picture focuses on the bond between a mother and child.

I'm not sure why people think it's so disgusting. It's only natrual. But you know what, America is really messed up on this subject. These are the same people have no problem watching half naked people talking about sexual topics on televison everyday, but can't handle someone FEEDING THIER CHILD. LOL beats me.

I read magazines all the time. I read that one the other day its on my coffee table now! haha. a lot of women & guys dont like the fact that breast feeding has to do with a baby sucking milk out of womens breast. but what they fail to realize we carry it for 9 months and breast feeding is a natural beautiful thing. Its also alot cheaper. Its probably the women and men that dont have kids theirselves but if thats the case they have NO right to judge. i dont know sweetie. i guess their just stupid!

Its a beautiful picture. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing that. That baby has a look of love in his/her eyes. Anyone who view's that as sexual just don't know the bond that is formed from doing that.
