my sis isn't in a good heathy relationship with her hubby. they never get along and he doesn't give her any money but he doesnt want her to work either. he has a car and what not but she cant even get her license. she has to ask me for a dollar when we go to mcdonalds. (sad but true.) he is rude to her and everyone else. my only neice is almost 1 and she isn't allowed to be alone with me or spend the night with me ( i stay with my mom right now.) its the same way with my mom. he doesnt like us because we dont like his family (drugs and no jobs- his mom does favors for money... seriously. she tells everyone her self. she has done everything but make up business cards!!) its not like im 12 or something. i've got my second on the way also. and they live in a garage... he doesnt want to pay for a real house... is it wrong for me to put my 2cents in? i dont think it is. she asks for it sometimes but only when she is getting something for free. i see her once a mo and she lives 10 mins away

What is wrong is that you are enabling her to live that way. Tell her to get out of the house. Come live with your mother. File for divorce - get out of bondage and LIVE. Tell her you and your mother will drive over and get her and her children and NEVER let her go back. That is truly being a good sister.

It sound like a pretty serious situation. But you can not step in and get involved because regardless of what you think it's your sister who chooses to be with him. If she wasn't happy she would leave him, but she hasn't done that so she must be happy. You could be there for her when she needs someone to talk to and help her then. I wouldn't recommend getting involved. It could cause her even more headache from him !

Honnie nothing you say is going to make a difference to her. She has to be the one to wake up and 'smell' the coffee. Dont even try otherwise u are going to alienate urself from her. So jus be there when she needs you until she realizes that she should leave or make changes.

i think your parent should get more involved in your sis. life if it's money she need then it wouldn't hurt your mom to give her some. I'm married and my father always gives me money for the kids, and if you sister wants she can go back to school and get a career and if her husband doesn't support her then she needs to leave him.

OMG my first marriage was like this! exactly like this! God, the other family was so f*cked up.
Your sister needs to get divorced and NOW. Start documenting EVERYTHING about this man. Write down everything with dates and times about how you cant have the kids or talk to her and how she cant have her liscense and how his mom does drugs. EVERYTHING!
This way when you go to court you can testify and help her get SOLE custody from him...give him supervised visits so he cant take them to his moms and dump them with druggie grandma.

good luck.

Sorry, but asking for your advise and not putting it to good use is getting her nowhere. The real problem is that she's letting this man control her. And he knows it.

it's gonna be difficult to tell her anything unless she wants out. let her know if she wants out you'll help as much as you can and that will have to be enough
