I don't. He was the first true international star, a star of new vinyl and recording technology. He also brought the world a glimpse of the impoverished life in the Southern states that he had, but he also brought black and spritual music to a bigger audience. Many of his songs are based on negro spiritual songs and also gospel songs, as well as the rising popular scene.
Probably one of Elvis'main strengths was that his music was individual- if you listen to ant 2 backing tracks, none of them will sound alike. Similarly, most of his music was recorded live- if he made a mistake, it was immortalised on vinyl. Also, he played his own instruments and also never, repeat NEVER, synched any of his songs, something which is too common now.
His songs in his films were usually continous- no stop-start or stopping for breaks- each one was one shot only, for example Jailhouse Rock.
Few artists now would be able to do this.
His legacy gave us the idea of superstardom and international fame. He was also one of the first actor-singers and a massive business man too. We can either remember him as a truly talented star who created some of the best known music in the world, or a sad parody, one which is frequently parodied and disrespected.

Elvis was an good performer but his singing ability was WAY overrated. He had the voice of a karaoke singer inside the body of a clown. People say that he's The King. (More like Burger King). He still had a few good songs though.

No. Why would they want to spend there time 'slagging off' some one?

Surely if you despise some one - you don't take up your own time to 'slag' that person off?

If you do then you are pretty pathetic.

And as mentioned by other answerers - ever heard of respect?
