Typically, it's anywhere from 8-15 hours a day on the set. This depends on 1) the production (how well i'ts organized) and 2) the amount of scenes and screen time the actor is scheduled for. Most of the time, it's being on the set, but not working. This 8-15 hours, of course, does not include the pre-production of table reads and rehersals. But on average 8-15 hours.

Really deoend on the Actor/ actress the roll and the Movie and if they are doing back to back movies ot TV. Some people I have worked with play the charactor 24/7 till they are through with it you can't even address them by thier real name others read the line for each scene just before doing it so it really varies.

They spend about 10-18 hours on set (though that isn't all filming, most of it is just sitting around waiting for cameras to be set up and rehearsing lines), depending on how intense the movie is. Action movies with a lot of stunts tend to take longer on set-up, though they usually set those up the day before. And it's not regular hours, either. Sometimes, they have to be on set at 3am to film a night scene when there's no traffic, and the next day, they have to be on set at 1pm to shoot at a restaurant.

Filming goes on for between 3 months to a year.

It's pretty hard work.

not enough to justify the money they get. doctors go to school for years and then have to continue education for the rest of their lives, and won't touch what a stupid celebrity gets just for showing up and getting pampered. the world is so screwed up. same goes for teachers, they are the ones shaping our youth, yet most border on the poverty line. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

they are on set for about 12 hours... thats usually what is legal... i've seen longer..sometimes up to 15 hours. but the actual time they put into thier craft amounts to how long the scenes take, what scence they're in, and how long they are needed... its alot of hurry up and wait.... craft service is your friend and dont be afraid to stock up in you bag... you never know if you'll need it on set...
