2x - 6 - 3x - 15 = 3x -6 -7
-x - 21 = 3x - 13
-8 = 4x
x = -2

First, multiply everything out, like so:

2(x-3) = 2x-6, 3(x+5) = 3x+15, 3(x-2) = 3x-6

So now your equation looks like this:

2x-6-3x+15 = 3x-6-7

Now, add all the like terms together:

2x-3x = -x, -6+15 = +9, -6-7 = -13, leave the 3x on the right alone

This is what you end up with:

-x + 9 = 3x - 13

Now, add 13 to both sides to get rid of the -13 on the right. You'll end up with this:

-x + 20 = 3x

Now add x to each side to get rid of the -x on the left. This is what you end up with:

20 = 4x

Divide each side by 4, and you get x = 5

Each item in the parenthesis should be multiplied by the number before it.

so 2 times x is 2x, 2 times -3 is -6, -3 times x is -3x, -3 times 5 is -15. On that side we get 2x-6-3x-15

On the other side we will get 3 times x is 3x and 3 times -2 is -6. On that side we not have 3x-6-7

Now we have
2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7
Add the x's and the numbers one each side to get:
-x-21=3x-13
Take the x from the left and add it to the right, then take the 13 from the right and add it to the left
-8=4x
Then we divide -8 by 4 to get rid of it on the right
-2=x

Hope that helps!

First of all you need to distribute the 2, -3 and 3 into the parenthesis giving:
2x-6-3x-15 = 3x-6-7
Then group together the like terms (i.e. terms with x or no x) and then just add them together and solve until you have x= a number.

2(x-3) - 3(x+5) = 3(x-2)-7

Expanding, and taking care of the minus sign, you get
2x - 6 -3x - 15 = 3x - 6 - 7

Bring the x terms to the left hand side and non-x terms to the right hand side, you get
-4x = 8

Solving for x, you get x = -2

You can verify the answer by substituing x=-2 into the orginal equation to see whether the value from left hand side of the orginal equation equals the value from the right hand side of the equation.

start by simplifying =

2x-6 - 3x - 15 = 3x - 6 - 7

continue with simplifying

2x - 6 -3x - 15 becomes, -x -21

3x - 6 - 7 becomes 3x - 13

now you have: -x - 21 = 3x - 13

now get the both x's on the same side. (subtract 3x)

-4x - 21 = - 13

now get 21 to the other side by adding 21 to the side it is on

-4x = 8

now divide to get x

x = -2

2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7 transposing -4x=8 therefore x=-2
check 2(-2)-6-3(-2)-15=-19 and 3(-2)-6-7=-19 so checks

2(x-3)-3(x+5)=3(x-2)-7

2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7
-x-21=3x-13
-21=4x-13
-8=4x
-2=x
