It is noteble point that you used "stressful" in describing situation. It surely indicates that you are not involved among the present environment but something serious is happening at your home. And you still you laugh means the people who are concerned with the situation are not taking yours participation in the situation with much serious because they are thinking its not your concern. However, you are feeling a kind of frustration simply because even though yours try to solve the situation in amicable ways, nobody cares much with your views and ideas....and it turns out to make you laugh....and mind you this kind of laugh is not an indication of joy but its feeling bitter towards the present DAMA SERIOUS moments you and your other family members are experiencing.
Well.....under such circumstances, it is best thing to come over the mental disturbances is to keep yourself with your nice friends (eventually whether they are from your classrooms or from net) and also you can participate in Yahoo Q&A to feel freely.

Is seems as though your laughing is an indirect way of you dealing/not dealing with growing pains. Try facing whatever is stressing you. Write down what is bothering you and some possible solutions. Also ask some of your family and friends about some of those solutions.
Another thing you might want to try is seeing a school counselor...There is nothing wrong with you, believe me....There a lot of people that do a lot more stranger things. I hope things get better for ya...

Very interesting.. That is what i do when i have problems. I laugh. I had a phyc. tell me that was the only thing that kept me alive..It is just a way of dealing with stress. and it works so don't try to stop it or you won't be able to handle it all..
I am still here and i am living proof of giggles make things better for you, who cares what it does for others.
Ihave had my kids taken away, in divorce fight. father dying. and all kinds of other crap in my life that was out of my control.. so just laugh on and you will get through it all.
there is nothing wrong with you....
have a good day and keep smiling..

You might consider seeing a counselor; is there more going on here than just that one thing?
I had a depression thing for awhile, and it wrecked my grades. At some points, though, I couldn't bring myself to care. If anything, I'd make a joke out of it. Or see a joke in it. Laughing could be a defense thing.

laughing IS an emotion.. You just are laughing instead of crying or screaming.. I do it a lot sometimes. You are fine, just try to relax somehow. Take a weekend and get away go to a quiet place.. If you can..

Laughing is a common reaction to stress, grief, sadness, and embarrassment. I do it too. I think it's an emotional shield, so that you don't have to let others know how you really feel.
