I think that with any religion there are going to be people who take their teachings to unreasonable extremes. Christians fought the Crusades to promote their "peaceful loving" religion, and the sad thing is, most people only associate Islam with the small group of people who are taking it the wrong way. Not all Muslims are like that, and it's sad that our media in the states portrays them this way.

Jesus never promoted terrorism.

And the Crusades have nothing to do with Us, or the present.

Muhammed robbed caravans and killed people for a living,

He also was a "Child Molester".

It's not the religion, it's the people who happen to practice the religion. After all, Christians were pretty bad at one time, and they did a lot of unchristian things in the name of Christianity. The people evolved, however, and are now more peaceful. So, it is just a matter of the people and the region.

I am Christian and feel sorry for the muslims, because it appears the terrorists are aligning themselves with the muslim name and henceforth are giving it a very bad name....I don't think it is the "bane" of the era, however.
