Martin Parmer was authorized by the Convention at Washington on the Brazos to seize horses, guns, ammunition, etc. for the Texas Army and issue scrip for the same. Most of the scrip was issued by Martin Parmer in the Municipalities of Nacogdoches and San Augustine, Texas in March and April of 1836.
