I live in texas when I lived in fla it lasted a whole week and you could spend less than 50 to get exempt here you have to spend a 100 before you can get tax free and it only last on the weekend

Items on the list under 100 dollars (clothing and footware) are tax exempt. This currently does not include many school supplies which would make sense duh. You can't go buy designer shoes for 500 bucks for example and get them tax free. Malls will be packed and wal-marts are over run all to save about 10-20 bucks.

There are currently campaign promises to make the time longer and expand the list, but we shall see. My wife works at target and this is worse than Christmas for her.

Massachusetts has two tax-free weekends: one in August (this year 8/12-13) and the other in February. Purchases under $2500 do not have the 5% sales tax applied.

In Iowa it last for two days Saturday and Sunday. It is exempt from taxes for back to school. It includes, clothes, school supplies, and footwear.

no dummy, u get taxfree on anything school related u buy. of course they tell u u spend 100 u get 8 dolllors off so that u can see how much u were to save and make it sound like alot. i mean it sounds better than for every 10$ u spend u save 80 cents.....u know. welcome to texas

I don't know if PA has that. At least I've never heard of it. We only get to purchase computers twice a year with no taxes added.

well here in NY they got rid of tax forever on clothes under $110

I live in Houston, and there's no tax guidelines..it's just no tax on everything we buy..yea sucks it is just for the weekend
