If you find a job that you love, you will never have to work another day in your life. It is true...I love what I do so I don't consider it "WORK''. I answered a question earlier today about what is your job. It just got me thinking...what is your take on this?

By the way......I do maintenance and sub-contract painting. We have a nice pool up there and I only work about 3-4 hours a day and I get paid well for it.

It is true. To the guy that did not agree that brought up money: I am sure if someone says they love their job, they are well compensated for it or they would not say they loved it so much that they did not consider it work. Compensation is not just money, it could be a sense of well-being, security, or the good feeling you get from knowing you have helped someone.

Well, if you love what you do, its self exclamatory. Everybody works, so its part of our lives. But now a days, its more of a career vs. work look on it. You either work just for money, or you work as a goal ( which also includes money). People have different takes on how they apporach work, and I cant explain in totally, because Im not good with words, but what im trying to say is its work money, or work achievment, in whick love or enjoyment is more linked with the second.

That is so true. Some people love to go to work and can't wait to get up and get going. Others dread it and hate it and just wait til friday or whatever day ends the work week.
Find a job you love life is to short to suffer in a job you hate.

I love writing and it doesn't fell like work to me. Of course I don't get paid much and need a second job to support my first. Now that IS work. If you love what you do you never have to work because it feels like play. Hopefully you can get PAID while you do it though.

I have heard that, but I still think that if you loved your job THAT much, you'd be willing to do it for very little money. I suppose you can consider you aren't working, but you still probably aren't doing things on your terms. No matter what, work is work as far as I'm concerned.

It is still work! Would you do it if you didn't need the money? That is why they call it work. I would prefer to go to "FUN" every day. That would have nothing to do with what I do as work.

A good job is only the lesser of all other evil jobs!

It's true. My great-great grandfather worked with Luther Burbank (for whom Burbank, California was named) developing new hybrids of fruits and vegetables. One day he climbed up on a roof to get a better view of a tree graft he had done. He slipped, fell, and died instantly. He was 94 years old.

If he had stopped working long enough to make a motto for his life, it would have been "Find what you love to do. Spend your life finding even better ways to do it." He's our family's role model.

Imagine a football player. Its a job, but actually is. He is having fun while doing his job and its not really a job. Its his life.

I've heard it a few times and I agree.
You should have a job that you love.
