Since you're asking this in the Astronomy & Space section ... the answer appears to be no. There is no evidence that humans are in any privileged center of the universe. The evidence is quite the contrary.

Had you asked this in the Religion & Spirituality section, the answer might be different.

It is my belief that humanity was CREATED by Grand Design and that our Creator put us in the center as we are created in His image.

That said, I think that many of the things that our science teaches and discovers, are glimpses into how our creation came about. That is why I think science and religion for the most part can go hand in hand. However, there are some things, such as the creation of humankind and His existence, that have just got to be taken on faith. The universe is to complex, grand and beautiful to have come into existence without the power of a Divine Being.

But that's just me.

I hope not. if man is the centre (best) of creation. That would be a poor statement on the universe. man is the best it can create. How pathetic

No.

The billions of light years of space... The trillions of galaxies and stars... and we could not survive anywhere else but this tiny spec of a planet tucked away in the most obscure of corners in all of space-time. We cling to this world like an inmate trapped in a prison unable to enjoy or even know what's around him..

Why would anybody think that reality itself all belongs to us or is here for our benifit?

Humans are but a chance occurrence in the grand scheme of evolution. There were other species that have dominated Earth long before humans become the 'master' of this planet.

It was because of mankind that everything in our universe has been created. After the final judgement, it is going to be destroyed and begun anew.
