Hey, i'm not darkskinned.. BUT! i did have acne for a while, so why i was doing research i learned a lot of thing's.
I hope some of the following help's.
Medication
Roaccutane.. it is the so called acne wonder drug, it stops your pores from producing sebum.. which is what causes acne. You do need a prescription from your doctor, this is like the last option for acne though, and basicaly the best long term one.

Minnocylin. An oral antibiotic, Acne is spread through bacteria aswell.. so it clear's up infection's.

Depending if you are male of female ..
Diane 35, Acne is caused from hormone imbalance and daine has 2mg of estrogen which is the female hormone, after 3 weeks your body accepts the medication and your oil gland;s dont over produce any more male hormones. THIS IS FOR FEMALES ONLY..

Personalli i used Diane and it has been awesum. I also washed my sheets every 3 night's , because the bacteria from acne goes on to your sheets and you are basically sleeping in a breeding ground for more acne. Wash your pillow case every two nights , as it is the same as the sheet's. Exfoliate your skin with an acne scrub, and use a skin body acne cleanser, drink lot's of water, and definitely invest in some bio oil, its great for uneven skin tone,
i know it's hard to deal with acne, as it is embarasing, But everyone is beautiful in there own way..
I hope this help's you Goodluck xx!

I am a dark-skinned African American woman. I didn't have bad acne, but I did have problems with bumps and marks after the bumps disappeared on the sides of my face, my back, chest, back of my legs, etc. Seriously, ProActiv works! I saw results in three days. I've been using it for two weeks now and my sister-in-law swore I had makeup on because my face was so smooth. Once you order it for the first time they will start sending you renewal cleanser every 60 days. I think you will be pleasantly surprised if you use the ProActiv on your face and other parts of your body that are prone to breakouts: it is a three part system, a cleanser, a toner and then a lotion. TRY IT!

It's not just people who have dark skinned that can be scarred by a severe form of acne --- my friend who is white has deep scaring as well and as the years went by there was some fading but not enough to make his scars less visible...

For your body, I suggest exfoliation with St. Ives medicated exfoliator. You may also check with the Origins Counter at a department store and have the reps recommend a product to you. I know that Origins is very effective in eliminating acne on face, so their products should be *** effective on the body.
