First of all, the health risk. Being in a plane or a movie theatre with hundreds of other people is sure to get your baby sick or infected. Second of all, common sense?

Why the hell would you take your BABY to see a movie with you? You think it will remember anything, or learn anything from the experience? This really annoys me because a movie theatre that I go to has a little ad saying "Bring your baby to the theatre, for free!". WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?

Second of all, why would you need to take your baby on vacation with you? That's bull, yet again, and it's worthless, why do people do it?

Third and final, do these "mothers" not understand that it completely ruins the whole experience and generally PISSES people off when there's a god damn crying baby in the room?

I hear a lot of people say "Hey, have some sympathy, you never had kids before?", and I've gotta say, "Do you like watching a movie or trying to sleep in a god damned plane when there's an annoying crying baby there?"

You're obviously bitter because you are either super ugly & no body will have kids with you, you're old or you can't have any children. Sometimes it's very hard to find babysitters & people just need to take their babies with them wherever they go. If it bothers you so much, then don't be in PUBLIC places. Why don't you lock yourself in a box or something?

First of all you are basing your knowledge of a health risk on what? There is a risk for you to get sick if you go anywhere too.

Second of all, where is your common sense? When you have kids you take them with you.

People take their kids because they can and they want to. Why should a parent be inconvenienced just because there are whiny adults in the world? Just because the baby won't remember the movie doesn't mean that you can't take the baby with you.

If someone is going on a family vacation, of course they are going to take their baby. Why wouldn't they? The baby is part of the family too.

Third and final, your opinion is that it ruins the experience. Believe it or not there are people in this world that enjoy having their kids with them. And if someone gets "pissed off" because a baby is crying then that person has some issues that need to be dealt with.

If you someone has a baby that is crying in the theatre then yes, they should go into the lobby with them.
And if you can't sleep on a plane that is your problem. There is no law that says you should be able to anyway.

Stop being a bitter person because your parents didn't love you enough to include you.

First off, I hope you are never fortunate enough to be a parent. I would rather that child go to someone who will love and parent the child properly instead of having them be a burden or leave them at home all the time.
Second, what do you want the parents to do with the kids? Leave them at home? Are you going to babysit for them? I would hope not! How are kids supposed to learn how to function in the real world and on airplanes and movie theaters if they are never given the chance to learn how and what is appropriate? And who gave you the authority to be the one to decide that only people who dont have kids can go see a movie?
As for the airplane, Where do you want the people with kids to sit? Oh heres an idea, Just stick them below with all the luggage! You actually think that people actually plan trips and say "hmm lets see Jr. will be extra fussy at this time so lets fly then!" You think the parents like having the baby cry on the flight?
You need to grow up and realize that the world doesnt revolve around you and maybe, just maybe you will see how much of a blessing children really are!

I can understand why parents would take their baby on a plane...a family vacation is a family vacation, regardless of the age of the baby/children. Besides, I can't think of any of my friends who have babies who would leave them at home for a week or two voluntarily. :)

I agree with you about the movie theater thing though. That's horrible. I've never understood that. Anyone...ANYONE should be able to find a sitter for a few hours to go enjoy a movie. If you can't, then tough...wait until the movie comes out on video and rent it. (One of the breaks of being a parent.) My concern about this isn't so much for the other moviegoers (It's been my experience that people who bring babies to the theater generally leave with them as soon as the baby starts crying.), but for the babies themselves. Movie theaters are SO loud. It seems that this would damage a baby's hearing. It's not right.

Because it's not a puppy where you can just set some food out and leave it until you get back home. I can understand how people can get upset with people for bringing a baby to the movies. I mean, if I had one I would just either not go to the movie or have my mom or sister watch it for me. Also, think about people who talk on the phone or yell out during the movie, that's more rude than a baby crying. But, come on now...an airplane. What is the parent suppose to do put the baby in the luggage. Of course, if they are going on vacation they are going to take the baby with them. You can't just drop the baby off somewhere and say I'm going on vacation. You need to take your baby with you on vacation because it's your baby. I must say asking, "why would you need to take your baby on vacation with you? That's bull, yet again, and it's worthless, why do people do it?" is not a very common sense question to ask. You think its worthless to take your child, someone you gave birth to, someone you are responsible to care for, someone you love on vacation with you. Come on now, think about it. Buy some earplugs, take some benadyle, or something.

I have no kids and HATE listening to them cry and generally being subjected to them when I go somewhere. Picking their noses, crying, screaming, just all around being annoying, but how can you ask "why would you need to take your baby on vacation with you? That's bull, yet again, and it's worthless, why do people do it?"? That's about the most idiotic thing I think I have seen on here. What would you suggest? That they do put their baby up at the kennel?

Regarding taking babies to movies and in planes, think its better to stay back with the child rather than going to movie and health risk involved. As far as plane is concerned may be the mother did not want to leave the child alone in care of baby sitter and brought the child along. But then its also quite annoying when the child cries.if the child sleeps throughout without disturbing others its fine. You have to put yourself in the mother's shoes to think like her.Unless its urgent i think the child should not travel in plane. As far as vacation let the child grow up where he can enjoy the travel.Until such time let him take vacation at home.

Your kidding right? I agree about theaters unless it is a childrens show and the child is old enough, but the plane? Come on. I have a friend who just happens to have to fly across the country at least once a month to take her very sick child, who has cancer, to a great hospital in nashville! No choice! Its people like you that make her already hard struggle even more misserable. When and if you ever have kids, you may understand!

First of all, anywhere you go there are going to be sicknesses and bacteria like gorcery stores, hospitals etc. SO are you saying to keep your baby couped up inside your house all day. Your house has bacteria too! That's not a life. I don't have children but I understand about a baby in the movies but on a plane?? Maybe they are going to see relatives that can't fly cause they are too old so they are bringing the baby to them. I think you are selfish and thinking about yourself only. Did you ever ask yourself "What if I were in their shoes...I am bringing this baby here because I want my grandma to see her grandchild before she passes????" You should think before you speak cause there could always be more to it.

Grow up.

People take their babies on vacation because they are taking a FAMILY vacation. Or because they don't believe it is good for a young baby to be separated from his/her parents for an extended period of time....babies and parents (ESPECIALLY nursing moms) belong TOGETHER. That's why it's refered to as "the family UNIT."

They don't take the BABY to WATCH the movie. They take the baby so they don't need a babysitter. NOW.....if the baby is young enough to not be mobile and is sleeping or nursing then it works out GREAT. If the baby is old enough to want to be able to sit up and move around, depending on the child's temperment, it might now work well.
