Well, I don't think there is any "if" about it. God certainly has it in his power to grant wishes, or what might otherwise be described as prayers. And while I realize that there is a good bit of scripture that suggests God encourages us to pray to him, I can rarely bring myself to ask for things, as it seems so self-serving.
Sometimes when a friend or family member, or even some stranger I have come across seems to be in desperate straits, I pray for their relief. I don't think a benevolent God would take offense to such things. Most of the time though, I simply pray for guidance that he may make his hopes for me known, and help me to live up to his expectations.
If it is his will, he may do so in time. Otherwise, I feel I would be presumptuous to ask anything else of him--ceratainly anything from which I would derive benefit. My life has been, for reasons that escape me, so very blessed that it would seem unconscionable to me to ask for more.

That I had incredible skills when it comes to the fine arts. I do a lot of drawing, play instruments, used to write and act.... but nothing really outstanding. I wished I was a skilled artist!

for the Christian Community [the conservative right wingers] to wake up, realize that in a slip of discernment, they've made a terrible mistake by supporting the repukes and turn around and start supporting the really Christlike Party....the Democrats!

Contrary to money being the root of all evils, I'd say to be loaded. Money isn't a problem if it is spent wisely. Either that, or some kind of mind reading ability.

I'd ask that he remove sickness, oldage, death and all forms of lovelessness and discrimation from the world, so that we could really enjoy the pleasantness of living and stop merely existing.
