Now this question is an eye opener.
In 1954, I almost died in a car crash at the age of four.
Six months ago, I was being treated for liver cancer.

You know, I remember the pain from the wreck was more a numbing feeling and the cancer treatment had me desiring to die. But, the car accident would be quicker, with no suffering, unless you linger on and on. I take it you mean instant death in the car crash.

Well, given the option, I would prefer to die in my sleep. But in this situation, it would really depend.
For example, what sort of Cancer would it be? Some are more painful than others, some act faster than others. I would prefer to die by cancer if it was either a quick one, over before you know it, or a slow, less painful one, so I could say good-bye to my family and friends.
And while the Car Accident might be more painful, it might also be over sooner, and give you less time to feel the pain. So it all depends.

If I am going to fie in the car accident, then car accident. If I am going to die months later due to injuries of the accident then Cancer.

I will take quick when ever possible. But If I cant have quick then let me blame mother nature not some stupid driver.

I'm not quite sure why, but I would prefer cancer. I don't know. A car accident just seems to be, for lack of a better word, heavy

Car accident because you dont have to bother about medical Insurance. On the otherhand, others will bother about Insurance if you die in a car accident!

I would rather die in a car accident and die instantly then die with cancer which could range from months to years. (I dont't want to know that i'm going to die before I die.)

If this was my only choice, I'd rather die of cancer at the wheel of a motor vehicle remembering how I avoided taking anyone with me.

Id like to be killed instantly from a car accident than to have cancer and suffer.. Ive seen people and my family suffer from cancer, and I never want to put my family in such pain of watching me suffer. Even though I know they would suffer for me being killed, they wouldn't have to see me daily getting worse. Interesting question.. what would you want???

cancer...the days spent contemplating the way you have lived your life would be a blessing, and it seems to me that though it might be painful....the slow death would be a spiritual growth cycle....

To be smashed into death....abruptly ending....that would cause more pain to your Family and Friends...

if its my choice.. the slow removal from corporeal existence is what I choose.

For the person up above..I have seen both of my parents die from cancer..and yes they suffered..but in the end the blessings of a closeness shared with them at the end of thier lives...KNOCKED down all the stupid human barriers to real emotional ties.. and provided emotional healings in a way that nothing else could...Cancer is a real ugly thing...but so is life.

wtf is wrong with anyone that would want to die from cancer. Just think about it, honestly. Some of your answers have been like "it would be easier for my family" BULL ******* ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just bieng around the person suffering so much would make you cry your heart out even before the death. And once the person is dead.... At least with a car crash, you don't have to have your loved ones suffer for you in bieng in incredible pain.
