My wife and i are signed until May, but the houses that we are looking at won't be availible then. Whats the best way to get out of it?

There are many options that are available, but with the landlords approval. Either see if you can buy-out early or ask if you can sub-lease the house out. A buy-out can be a small fee of $500.00 to the remainder of the rent until the unit is rented to someone else.

You should negotiate a buyout, where you pay a penalty for early termination of a lease, usually 2 months rent.

Find something that makes your house unlivable that would nullify your lease.
