Being genuinely appreciated.
Once some guy came onto my train with a can of beer in his hand and started speaking to me. I wasn't entirely interested in what he was saying, but spoke back anyway. Just before he got off, he thanked me for talking to him because most people have just assumed he's drunk and ignored him.

One thing...? That's really narrowing it down. But, I'd have to say physical activity. It picks me up and keeps me regular... just hop on my skateboard and cruise around just for the hell of it. that's what makes my day.
