Karen Carpenter & Stevie Nicks, they have great voices, and unique.

I love Shirley Manson's voice - it's very adaptable to many different styles of music as proven on the album, 'Beautiful' by Garbage.
I agree that Alanis Morissette has also a very powerful voice of many tones and pitches and sounds almost identical, if not better to those of her recorded songs, live.

I used to think Lauryn Hill could sing a shopping list and make it sound wonderful but she's lost it now. Alanis Morissette always knows what to do with her voice, but if you really push for an answer, I'd have to say, Sarah Vaughn.

Christina Aguilera..just because of how much crap she got and even though people put her down, she carried on and made a success of her life. Not just that but have you HEARD her voice? soooo powerful and she has a great style and range...fantastic! Although I do think Mariah Carey could give her a run for her money!
